HiOS Launcher - Fast: Personalization App

HiOS Launcher - Fast is a personalization launcher by Transsion Holdings that replaces the default home screen and app drawer with a faster, lighter interface. It has been around since late 2016 and has grown into a widely used launcher, with over half a billion installs and a rating of 4.05 based on nearly 783,000 reviews. The app is free, shows ads, and targets Android 9 and above, requiring about 66 MB of storage.

For an experienced user, the appeal lies in its speed and the extra content layers it adds. Beyond basic launcher duties, it integrates a Zero Screen feed that surfaces trending news and games, a Smart Scene that intelligently pushes hit songs, and a Discovery section featuring wallpapers and top games. There are also one-click tools for font preview, an app freezer, and theme customization. The latest version, 13.9.050.2, released on September 9, 2026, focuses on an optimized user experience, so expect smoother transitions and better overall polish compared to earlier builds.

It's worth noting that the app requests a fairly broad set of permissions, including calendar, contacts, location, phone, photos/media/files, storage, and Wi-Fi connection info. This is typical for a launcher that offers smart feeds and personalized content, but it's something to review before installing. The Teen content rating and the presence of ads mean it's not a completely distraction-free environment, but the core launcher functionality remains the main draw.
